Apologies for the delay in these last two pages of issue 2! We hope to have the next page out by this Friday but it is a real possibility that it will to be delayed until next Monday as well. We are coming to the end of the semester here and have been crunched on time between finishing up projects for class and working on the pages. We hope not to let you wait long on it, but after this issue we will be taking some time off to rest a bit and get ahead on the next issue over our winter break. Although that does not mean we will not be posting anything! Its been a hectic and exciting ride to get here and we are so looking forward to what is in store for you audience! , Apologies for another brief post I will be looking to get back to my longer posts after the break and we are back on issue 3 but do please enjoy what is left of this Issue! Thanks as always for checking out Dreams end and May your dreams find you when you awake as well!
Deshyn when someone touches his Mapples
hello Monday we made it! Last monday of November! We are rolling fast here into winter, sheesh. Yet for our brothers only endless summer is in sight!
I think the boys are gunna need a bigger pack...
Hello! ! We are here on the road! Isn't it... Lovely?... yuck. where did all the color go! D: . So this is the great trail in the sky , huh? I suppose I would be depressed to if I had to travel that road everyday to. But hey at least we got Turnips!...? This page really went through a big transformation while I was working on it and getting feedback gave me some much needed insight. sometimes you can dig yourself into a hole so far and then when you hit rock you forget that there were other directions you could have gone, unless of course you had someone at the breach calling down at you to remind you of the other half a dozen smaller holes you started up there. I think because I worked on this story for so long in a mostly written medium I really can forget that I don't need to try and be descriptive within the text of things and that the words on the page should more often then not be character driven not environmentally driven. The picture has already been painted, dont write all over it! Unless thats what you're going for of course! So that will be the lesson I attempt to take with me this week and I think that its reflected well in the dialogue that is shown now. Yippee!
We are almost nearing the end of Issue 2, twenty pages today and almost 4 months a quarter of a year of release, looking ahead to 4 months from now we'll be nearing the end of our first chapter it seems so far from now yet hardly that far at all when I think about all the plans we have for the comic between now and then. We have a short little side comic we're just starting to plan out and without spoiling to much I'll say that it will give you more insight on the suma (That is the name of the creatures that live in this world). So thats cool. Plus I would like to do a little bestiary of sorts for the suma we have met so far, and let you learn a little more about the world in that way, but those two things are still quite some ways off, most likely not until we finish our first chapter will we see anything like that, yet these plans get me excited knowing that they exist and will eventually come to fruitation. Bestiarys especially have always been something I have loved to explore in games, collecting the entries, and studying the monsters, learning about them its that extra step of world building that i appreciate so much that really gives something a sense of life. Some examples would be Final fantasy of course specifically 12 had a really great collection of monsters and identity to it. Red dead redemption 2! Arthur's trusty journal he would carry with him functioned similarly to a bestiary, with his collection of hand drawn pictures of the animals he would see or hunt in the world combined with his journal aspect to it really pulled you into that world. and of course Silksong as im playing currently has their wonderful bestiary that not only lets you learn about the inhabitants of the world but also something about the characters own personality as well. Lastly I would be remiss to not mention the og bestiary the Monster manual itself and all of its inceptions and additions, how many hours have a spent pouring over those entries for inspiration whilst crafting dungeons and monsters for my homegames. So yes beastiarys are really cool and Im excited to have ours eventually shared with you as well!
So thats really all I have for Friday. Not much to add Zan and I are working almost around the clock between school, and work somehow we have been able to keep our release schedule an impressive feat all on itsown. So please enjoy this weeks page! And your own weekend! Farewell!
How it feels to go on an adventure
Hello! It is Monday my people! Another new week has come to us! What have we been reading? What new projects our on your mind? I've been playing around with some ideas on the side here myself while writing this project, its always a great excercise to do and gives me a creative break from Dreams End but I always find myself reapplying the knowledge of those side projects into this one, Although it is nice to know that there is some sort of an end to a story despite how far it may seem as that means you can challenge yourself to face new ideas something that is exciting. Although by no means am I no excited for this project (On the contrary) Its just a nice comfort to sit on. Well Today we do come to a close on our little farm here as we are now leaving this place for now and going off to the town at the end of the road! I wonder what sort of characters we shall meet when we get there? I know atleast one particularly stinky guy that I am so excitied to introduce. Well that is IF the boys here make it to town muhahahaha
We have been playing a little more of silksong! We have discovered through some exploration a little platforming challenge area that primarly involves that grappling hook, and honestly! I am so glad to have discovered it now as I felt like it was a fantastic way to get a grasp on some of the more nuanced mechanics of the grapple, I appreciate Team cherrys pacing of their mechanics like this. I imagine if I continued exploring the citidel I would get to use the grappling hook in more of a casual way as I had been (Possibly applying the mechanics more gradually) but coming to an area that primarly revolves around it, I'll definetly be returning to the citidel with the intent of using it more in exploration as their are some nifty ways you can use it, like getting a little bit more distance after a dash or using it on one of those pogo platforms to get a little hop. Its those small things I wouldn't of exactly been using if I hadn't gotten forced to use it in a new area. Plus! I got another part of the gourmets ingredients, so that was a bonus! Funny that now I have discovered another source of oil that I will hopefully be getting another one so soon after. (fingers crossed) I am curious of exploring some of these outerrim areas now that I have the grappling hook and seeing exactly where I can go with it. I know there was a wintery area above the Jail that I think I can attempt to explore now as well which i've been keen on checking out since I first stumbled upon it.
Unfortunately we have no comic updates this week, their are some things i've been reading mostly, things I have already been reading for awhile now. Oh Okay I suppose I could tell you about some of those, now I do quite a bit of cycling with what and when I read something and I would be here forever if I were to name every single thing i was reading at the moment (adhd thing) but I'll name a few i've been more consistent with. First Hajime no ippo A boxing, slice of life manga, which i've been reading weekly for way to long now, its interesting looking back at the arcs when I began reading it and remembering parts of my life from then, Its like little parts of your own life have been shared with those characters in only a way you can know. Jojo part 9, so i started reading this near the end of part 8 but I have been struggling with reading this on a month to month basis and am a little far behind, I think due to the nature of its release schedule I have a harder time with the longer waits but larger chapters then the short ones. But I am slowly working my way through it! I started reading my hero academia on the side whilst watching the anime, I love the artstyle and spotting the differences between the manga and anime, plus reading it gives me a chance to reflect on what i've watched and gives me more insight on things that the anime may have cut out! Ok so those are the big ones along with sporadically reading my indie comics i've picked up here and there. Im also looking to check out some superhero comics which i've never been able to dive into super much due to the vast amount of material there is in that department, but I have gotten some reccomendations on some storylines to check out within that world that I look forward to. Aswell I have had some interest in checking out Invincible at some point in the future as a friend of mine has recently gotten into it, and I enjoy reading things along with others so I can talk about it :D . If anyone has anything they would like to reccomend we would love to hear about it, I love checking out new things and I know theres so much I haven't read so feel free to drop any reccomendations.
Lastly I have noticed that the discord comment section hasn't been working as of late and for those that were leaving comments (which we appreciate so much) Im sorry that you have been unable to as of late. I will be working on a solution to that over the week to see what we can do about replacing that with something new! So thanks for your patience and We hope that our new system works out and gives people an easier time with commenting. As well we will be putting a link to our discord if you would like to join it and be apart of a fledling community ( although we have little experience in running a discord community we will do our best to be accomadating to the wants of our community!) I mean ultimantly we would absolutely be over the moon if people did want to be apart of something like that and rejoice in a collective space for discussion. Thats all we have for this Monday I believe. So enjoy this little update for the week and we will see you in the future!
Soaked Darius
Fridays were cancelled as I was running on no sleep from dealing with a jagged work schedule and bouncing between mornings and nights. But We are working on resolving that, thanks for your patience!
How Zan Really wanted to draw Darius
We have arrived at the PEAK of our writing here Darius the Valiant or the buisness man? Fantasy and reality begin to blur what will he take with him on his journey?... Doing the dramatic lighting was really fun I often try to go for more stylish lighting or mood lighting when I can over what realistically might be seen which might confuse people like hey if theres a window with light shining down here then why isn't the snow melting!. Well the Snow is melting its DRAINAGE!"
Draaaainage!
Im pretty happy with how this sorted itself out Special thanks to my friend Greg who assisted with some editing on this one. Having someone to look over your writing can really instil that extra level of confidence knowing that another person thought it was good enough to put out! I've been looking over some future plot lines and I have to applaud my "genius" sometimes when I write down an incoherent sentance that I suppose meant something to me at the time but upon review leaves me absolutely lost as to my meaning. I suppose its alright since sometimes ill write down something with the hopes that future me will be able to interperid something better then my initial thoughts or Expand upon it, like a little mystery box just for me. Nothing better than being partially clueless to your own notes. Although its not so bad. In my main document I am totalling around 80k wordsish which outlines roughly the entire main story... Which may seem like alot but then I remember that in JUST my outline for the first arc I am only at about 20k as of checking it right now. It astounds me that I have even been able to write this amount or degree, Although its taken me 5ish years to get to this point, before this I absolutely struggled to write just about anything, I would have short stories, scripts, ideas in shambles, about the only thing I could write for was my dnd campaign, and even those I doubted, So to get this far and continue to discover more about myself, the world and characters makes me so proud of myself that I have persisted despite all that doubt and perceived failures. Honestly it would be a fun side project to release lore about the world, its culture, and history that I have written and not ENTIRELY certain as to when or where some of these locations or events in history will be revealed. I mean of course we are starting out So very small with these characters, so lets just enjoy what we have for now.
Yesterday we had our first day of snow here, you would think living in Canada I would be sick of it but theres something special about that first snowfall that just fills me with these fuzzy feelings images of being surrounded by others, drinking hot coco, surviving the coldest days, the suns gleam on the white snowcaps, building snowpeople. Winter can be a pain but also it can be tons of fun if you let it. Well Enjoy your first week of winter out there, and Darius' own little winter in the page this week what perfect timing haha. Bye!
Its getting chilly for the middle of summer!
Hello! Its another week that has come to pass and a new page! Darius alone reflects on what his brother has said to him what will he discover about himself? and whats in that JAR? the anticipation is killing me!
The anticipation...
So some of you may call shenanigans about this cellar of theirs with a snow mountain but TRUST me I have done the research and thought about the logisitics of it and have come to the conclusion...MAGIC! No no I jest... We may explore its creation more in depth later on in the story if I find an appropriate spot to put that, but trust me It works for them just look up Icehouses it was a fairly prevelant thing used pre refridgeration, all the way up to the 1960s! Its a pretty interesting piece of history and prevelant in many cultures, their architecture which is super fascinating. Check it out if you're interested in knowing more about it!
So This week I would like to share with you a comic called "STAR QUEST" A very charming space adventure romp about 3 lil guys searching for... Stars! First off their world is oozing with charming characters and locations that are bursting with fun, from their style of art to the shape of their guys you can tell the author put a LOT of thought into this story of theirs, the first thing I noticed is the 3 main guys who are very shape and share colors with eachother, LOVE that. Speaking of color they do so much with it, giving life to the emotions that their characters or scenes are feeling which ties so much emotional weight to each page, and given the way they style their comic art with bouncy and very round designs the colors play into that so well. And The intrigue! I always am excited to read stories set in space due to the variety of worlds and the lore, and the freedom that provides to creating, I love the intrigue of the world so far as of finishing chapter 2 their is alot of interest to see more of these worlds and go on the adenture which the first two chapters serve very neatly as an introduction to the quest to come, the author has given us alot of things to think about and ponder about the world and the nature of certain beings its exciting! My favourite location was in this starchart room and the light of our guardian character the glow from their eyes and star iluminated the room it gave them this wonderous mystic presence. So well! Thats my frantic thoughts on this comic, I may have more in the future possibly I may revisit these comics in the future as I read more of them and give updates on my thoughts on their future updates. Thanks everyone for creating and not giving up on your own dreams! Everyone has a story to tell and its great that we have a way to put them out there to find for those who search for them.
by Cinnamuff!
So aside from this little update I suppose I have had the time to play a little bit of Silksong, getting back into it after a couple of weeks took me a minute to get my bearings where I was and what I was doing, I was admitedly a tad overwhelmed as my plans of what to do next were returning but I held off and just decided to push into this new area underneath the dancers and explore a little down there. What did I find? Some really engaging platforming elements below from the spikes on the walls to the moving buzzsaws even the enemies felt more of a platforming challenge then actual enemies to be fought. I liked the change of pace, not that other areas aren't platforming and challenging in their own ways, but down here in the cog of the machine each part felt like it was apart of a singular challenging platforming area and it was more like a puzzle to defeat the enemies then just bashing them over the head. Which was awesome! especially after realizing i could just wack em into the same spikes I kept jumping into, or when I realized that I had been pogoing on the buzzsaws when I should have been using the walls to navigate. I didn't really get much farther then that, but look forward to exploring the area above those dancers now that its open, and finding just where I can use this new hookshot of mine, which will also give me a refresher on the different areas. Yippee!
Ok! Thats all we'll talk about today. These next two or three pages were very important to me when writing Darius, I remember when I was detailing out this scen and how to finish up sending them off and I was on the bus and Landslide by fleetwood mac was playing, and I don't know what it was but it triggered this visceral imagery that I found relating to Darius and Deshyn so well that it inspired me to rush home and finish writing the scene, and came up with something I think is really wonderful. So yeah! Enjoy the page today and get excited for Monday! Take care!
Darius arming the pesants
Hello! Sorry We missed Friday, we've had a busy week here at pisfits productions with real life stuff, good things! Hopeful but very time consuming Heres to the eventual payoff! We've been spending sometime now with the boys here at their farm getting to know them and I think that we have a good idea now who they are and their relationship together, I enjoy writing the two of them alot and the comic has dramatically changed from its initial outset based on my love of Deshyn in particular. As Darius' family was initially more of a footnote in the story I wanted to create, but as it developed I realized that Deshyn demanded to be a realized character and as that thread unravelled he has found himself a central figure to the narrative, and I think in understanding him we will get to know Darius as well. Which is why these initial pages for me are so important, I worry ALOT about how my writing will be interpreted and often will will be doing rewrites on the dialogue even hours before release. This page especially I found that the initial explanation Deshyn gave to Darius was how HE would understand it not Darius and Deshyn almost told me "hey mr. writer Darius is not gunna get it if we start talking about capital and investments," And oh right Darius is a fighter and scrappy ok so Shields he clearly has some background working with a blacksmith so he'll get that. Anyways just a little inside exploration on my writing process if you care about that.
I've been reading a few comics lately that have drawn my attention, being on the topwebcomics site now has given me ample material to read through and as someone with Adhd its REALLY easy for me to get distracted with cool NEW shiny thing. So I remembered my initial idea of reviewing the comics in the webring and pulled myself into a story on there as it does have some incredible creators. Although I don't feel as if I have read ENOUGH of my current selection to give it a proper review so instead I will not try and give a half ass review and instead just ask you for some patience in that regard. (Heck I have'nt even found the time to play silksong lately :( ) Anyways that is the update on that project. So Hopefully we can look forward to that on Friday.
I am considering moving this to a more visible channel possibly directly onto the home page infact, as I do not believe that it ALONE justifys its entirely own page and at the moment I have not seen myself fit to give this webpage the updates it deserves, and so I think until that time when I am able to get more things up and running it would be better to consolidate instead of seperate things, so if you are reading this and it IS on the home page know that this is why you are seeing it now!
We posted a new ilustration on put instagram, I think we'll be starting a gallery as well here in the future but if you like to check that out please do it has an nba star Grubber in it, hilariously our first official depiction of the creature as they have only been mentioned briefly in the comic at this point. Well anyways enjoy the page and keep us updated on your favourite things about this comic and comics in general we love to hear it! Farewell!
Shape language of our Gorse
so we have finally returned with issue two of Dreams End! Thanks for allowing us this week off as we geared up into our second issue. We've put tons of time this week preparing the pages and getting ready for our release and its been worth it! Looking over what we have made makes me so so excited to share it with you and take you on this trip with the brothers. We also have some more exciting art that we will be sharing in the near future for our favourite spooky holiday! So look out for that. We are playing around with some ideas for a patreon and how we can use that to create more interesting things or share parts of the development with you guys. Character and scene sketches, future character prototype art, sharing the comic issues earlier in B&W. Things that may be fun to check out but not needed to enjoy the comic on its own. All of the proceeds that we receive at Pisfits Publishing will always go back into the comic, and the inevitable release of a physical edition of the story which is our eventual goal. So if that sounds cool to you let us know! And enjoy the new page this week and we will see you back here on Friday with our usual announcents.
Gorse in the mud
So thats a wrap on issue 1! Glad we got to get them off that hill of theirs, of course they couldn't just walk down are you insane?! As you'll soon discover falling are these boys speciality. So much thanks for you dear reader doubly so if you have also been reading these ramblings of ours over here. Anyways what ARE we rambling about today?
Well whats this weeks comic we've been checking out? Prophet of the sun! Right away I was loving the moody colors and overcast of red that hung over the pages, that perfect silohuettes or protagonists own mood, as they navigate the challenges of the sun and its responsibilities towards people that are not very nice! The juxtaposition between the reality of the protaganists world and their fantasys are defined beautifully by their color and texture, these soft pastel characters a evoke a fairy tale fantasy the prophet takes comfort in, versus the sharp edges of the suns anger.
the sun god gives me spyro sun vibes
This comic is So textured and layered it feels like a piece of history from a world that once was which just builds onto its mythos and emotions. I would be hard pressed to pick but I really loved page 34's depiction of these golden rays shining down and how full of hope that the prophet is inspiring in the people they speak to. versus page 41 the stark contrast the lonliness the beacon that the sun is a fascination appearing as something demanding worship almost to perfect. before it imposes its firey wrath upon us. So well done, I really look forward to continuing this comic (And there is ALOT of it!) for its impressive stylistic choices alone, but its the character the hope and despair the fear that they hold not just for the sun but for the people they try to give that hope to and the way they fail and reveal to us the audience their humanity and I love that they have all these thoughts and raging emotions that the prophet grapples with it feels so personal. So I mean while I am not a religious person I definetly reccomend checking out this prohpets gospel!
by Paige!
Now onto a Silkpost! The citidel has been super cool and the game has really opened up quite alot since I got here hilariously After
I had finished exploring a big chunk of it and discovering the gourmand I went and did some backtracking and found a place to exhange my artifacts
and upgraded my needle. Better late than never I suppose! It felt good though going into the Inns basement to collect the cask and feeling that
power up when I was fighting those pesky ants down there. I've been doing quite a bit of auxhillery exploration outside of the citidel mostly
in search of the gourmands ingredients, I found three so far and in my search discovered whole new parts of areas I forgot to explore. I do
wish I held off a little longer until I received the grappling hook as their are a bunch of areas I believe have now opened up again! I must
admit I do love the slow roll of discovery, it makes the map feel considerably larger.
Why are grapplehooks always such a pain to use Emotional damage He just wants belly rubs!
Haloween movie reccomendation for this week is Tale from the crypt 1972! I will say if you want to get hit with 50's Nuclear family suberbia aestetics this is pretty good for that as their are lots of interiors that were very visually compelling for that sense of nostalgia. As well I am a sucker for pre cg movies where everything has to be handcrafted and the tomb and caves are splendid absolutely loved the visual medium from this film. I would say to take the plot very light as it is just terrible things happening to bad people in more unsettling ways. The last story of this anthology had me howling at the absurdity of the blind old men essentially building a saw trap in the basement of their carehome. I wouldn't say they are absolutely horrific stories, well aside from the gruesome end each of their fates lead to but I found myself celebrating their demise as they made a point to be absolutely loathsome people. I think the most compelling was the 3rd story, as I genuinely felt awful for the circumstances they had created for their neighbor and the emotional turmoil is really turned up in that story.
Bro's aura farming is immaculate
Ok Go enjoy the last page of issue one! And if you already have then read it all again at once! The pacing will hit different Trust me bro Source Im the pace. Farewell for now friends! Leave your comments with us if you liked the first issue and share with us some of your favourite moments!
one must fall apart to fall back into place
Welcome! Well wishes and the hope your Weekend was one of beauty. I had a moment this weekend on a job that gave me pause to truly smile and reflect on the path i've taken, something i like many others I imagine constantly is dotted with doubt. But this moment made me realize that i've been able to heal from the past, and turn something that I love and was once bullied for into something that can inspire others. Sometimes all it takes is a stranger to say something that gives you that pause and realization that you have been building towards something without even knowing it, and because you didn't give up you could give a stranger a reason to also smile and be inspired. What truly magnificent thing it is to be a human sometimes and when we follow our dreams where that can take us.
Today there is not much in the way of announcements, and as I am quite tired from the days events (I am writing this late into Sunday night) I think I will leave the page update and see you again on Friday where I hope you will join us for the final page of the first issue of Dreams End! Its been wonderful so far and been realizing there is so much to doing this that I did not entirely antcipate at first but its been exciting to learn and try things out! Farewell and be safe friends!
Actual image of the Author yapping to the artist about another 20 seasons
As we grow closer to the end of Issue one im getting so excited for what's coming next! With only 3 pages left of this first issue, wow! How crazy how time flys by. What have you been reading? Hows The spooky season been?
We've been running through a list of Haloween movies for the month some classics and some new ones, I finally got to watching one i've heard about but didn't know anything of called Trick 'r' treat, which i suppose is a cult classic in some circles. It was really silly! I knew it would be right from the onset of the first little story, I was a bit apprehensive at first but ultimately just let go of any expectations I may have had and let myself enjoy the ride, and what a nonsensical little ride it was! Most of the movie was quite goofy and just odd. I think the standout was the teenage girls transforming into werewolves and doing whatever the heck they did in their little dance circle, and the old man bus driver thread was a fun pull through from the kids to the final story with the old man, and speaking of the old man sequence what a really spooky set they made for his house and the entire fight sequence between him and the PUmpkin head! I absolutely adore when their are handmade props in movies and his little face reveal was everything! Zan totally guessed the twist with him being the bus driver, and I kept shouting "Schrodingers chocolate bar!" Like It was Checkov himself. The back to back to back plot twists really made the movie perfect at the end and It was cool to have the kids show up for a little get together. Overall I would reccomend if you're looking to check something out thats really unserious in a mischiveous haloween way. Also! Afterwards we discovered their was a comic made AFTER the fact and it is very charming I would definetly give that a look if you're interested in that!
Awe look he's just a lil' guy!
Speaking of comics this weeks comic review is DUST by Radlad. I happened upon this one clicking through the webring and their comic intrigued me. It is unusual to find comics doing an oldschool 3 panel strip and then I saw the little dino sitting on the shoulder of the apocolypse guy (The titular RadLad) and wanted to learn Whats the story with these guys? The humor is as witty as the art is charming and each page is a quick read that left me smiling at the end of them, and curious what would happen to the duo next! There's something nostalgic about the art being hand drawn and the absurdity to the characters, fitting for a post apocolpyse. I got curious about the author and what inspired them and the backstory behind the story is really heartwarming, taking on the character of your sons toy dino and embodying them as a comic is incredible dad energy and their banter shines through in their spontanity of absurb, little wisdoms, and Noodles.! So go and check it out if you Like at the link below and enjoy a new comic story from this side of the internet!
by RadLad!
And onto other internet related topics This week alone we went from ranked 14000 all the way to 299! And its only been a week! Thats really swell, I think like the fact that 20 some odd people have voted for this comic (More or less depending on if you voted twice ;) ) Is actually incredible, and honestly kind of unexpected! Either way we really appreciate that and hope you stick around for the ride, because man is it going to be one! (Not me in the shower crying about some random plot point that just struck my mind at 2am in the morning listening to Can't stop the feeling by JT ) Yeah its a vibe, I think as a creator its like a form of therapy because real therapy cost way to much xD Alright I'll leave us with that for this Friday's Little post enjoy the comic! and if you enjoy it or didn't let us know in the comments! As always we love to hear from you, and imma try to be more proactive about responding in the future cause I know i've been bad with that! Toodles!

Weooow! Greetings! We have exciting news! We are linked into the Web/Comic/Ring ! And i've been checking out some comics of the other creators and their are some really cool ones I think each week I will post a new comic from the ring I enjoyed and give some thoughts about them ^.^ Firstly up is Cooper Bullet,A stylish noir story, with a really deep personality that just oozes with flavor. The scratchy and dark tones of the art caught my eye and I stuck around for the surprisingly thoughtful nature of the story, and its reflective nature of conflict and obligations. Also Peter was a hilarious and deeply humbling character I think we have all met aspects of in our own lives Definetly worth checking out and The creator also has made some amazing little trailers for the comic that are absolute wicked mood pieces. Go check it out! ^.^
by Midgetsausage!
My silksong journey has slowed down a lil as I have had life stuff come first, and just as I was reaching the citidel! The last time I wrote about the adventure I had found myself coming through the back entrance, So i did my due diligence and went around to the front and took care of the door guard, Which personally i found getting to him to be more difficult then the judge himself, but it was a fun fight! I really liked the second phase and timing the flame attacks. Anyways haha Silly me went through the front and thought it odd that the elavator was taking us down... I open the map huh this is going away from the citidel map... Huh theres actually this huge empty area... under... oh fuck. And then we were stuck again! bahahaha got me good. Im looking forward to seeing what secrets the citidel holds... when I get there!
I Know where this ain't goin'
I've been going for really late walks lately, comes with the territory of staying up until the small hours of the morning. I find it fascinating how familiar spaces and activities can turn so incredibly strange at those hours. Seeing someone walking their dog or going for a run at 3am hits a bit different, or one time someone was cutting their lawn? Something so surreal about regular activities at that time. I admitedly must also seem strange to others, but I suppose we are all just being odd colectively!
Could be anyone out there
We also have finally hooked into top webcomics! We'll put up a little button for you folks to vote if you like later this week, but its fun to finally be able to play in the ranked servers ^.^ I find it incredibly tellling when Im looking at the votes and notice the "slight" discrepency between 2nd and 1st 500 for 5th 550 for 4th 800 for 3rd 1000 for 2nd ok ok thats nice then 1st 10000! nice o7 The furry community never misses a step. still its cool to be apart of more places ^.^ And we got to make some fun promo art to!
You can click on this to vote for Dreams End!
Well I hope everyone enjoys todays page! I think it is really silly, and had fun writing them, especially the whole flag rant Zan really enjoyed ilustrating how goofy they are. I enjoy how much physical humor his art brings to the characters, it really has elavated their banter, enjoy the week and whatever you may be reading! farewell friends!
Darius Ready for Action
Thus begins our favourite season of the year Autumn and all of its spooktacularness is upon us! The crisp air and the forlorn winds of winter, the colors! I am putting together some deco for our place Spooky bats and foraged findings. Ironically our brothers are still enjoying the summer for the time, but surely fall will find their way to them in time...

Writing dialogue for comics has been a much different work flow then when I wrote this initially, finding space and compressing ideas together until they look good on the page and still convey the information you like is challenging! But I believe that we are doing alright! It's actually led to many more exciting developments that im so excited to get to in the future, speaking of the future I was developing some characters for the future of this comic and it struck me that they wouldn't even show up in the story for years! I wonder how other comic creators live with that knowledge for so long in their head of a character or story that lives so far ahead of where they are, personally I just wanna yap about all these things and before the comic I used to be way more candid about it! Now that it's started though I must constantly remind myself its okay! its okay! We'll get there!
We are thinking of also releasing our comic as issues on other sites that host comics in the future, where you can read them as entire issues instead of as pages, but we'll always have the weekly page updates here! But as our current layout stands it is in quite some shambles haha!
Well lets see where these boys shenanigans lead them and what sort of trouble ensues, Darius seems quite the energetic sort doesn't he? and what the heck is a Valiant! ouuu so much intrigue :p see you on Monday!
Hey! We made it to the cover page! It's offical this is a comic! Look forward to seeing more cover's in the future I wanted to serialize these as shorter parts of a whole chapter just because I love that style in physical comics having the excitment of seeing the cover art and gets your mind wondering whats in store for the characters that week! Well Im so happy we finally can reveal our boy! Darius! Hopefully in the coming week we can get the cast page looking more functional and can add some fun little info about these guys if you're interested in that. I've been slacking on updating the webpage been feeling exhausted from real life things and just trying to push through it until I have the focus to jump back into the code aspect.
We made it to the front cover!
Something very wonderful happeneded today when I was out grocery shopping! It was just a kind gesture from the cashier I had to split the bill between cash and card today and when I went to pay the second half they just smiled and shut the register and just said ok your all set! I was astounished, I didn't want to hold up the line (It was really busy) or say it outloud what she did, but I tried to acknowledge their kindness as I was pushed out of the store. It was just a small reminder that we are all in this situation together and small gestures can go a long way to a stranger.
This page of Darius chopping the wood up on the hill was the first image I ever conjured up of how his story started, this idea survived so many different changes and modifications of the story but I was always set on the image of him up on his little hill chopping wood, seeing something fantastical on the horizon. So this image coming to life like this is really hype! Anyways thanks for reading this to the end here, since you made it this far i'll let you in on a secret Those fruit in the tree are called "mapples" They have a crisp apple exterior but a more juicy fleshy interior and have a citrius sweet taste to them. Well enjoy your week! Lets do something Kind for one another!
Fictictional fruit always taste best
This week really flew by! I can't even tell you what i've been up to, I have been unfortunately really struggling to open up the code editor and been putting it off with other tasks, working on future story beats doing the page coloring designing characters. All important stuff but none of it as prevelant as getting the website more functional! Maybe next week i'll work up to it again. Its neat seeing things slowly change but equally frustrating when you just can't quite get it right. I suppose that is the biggest challenge to this whole thing.
Hiding from the code
I am really looking forward to the upcoming pages, the start of the story is purposefully slower paced, I love the atmospheric story tellling, and seeing the things that perhaps we often overlook in our own busy lives, sometimes lives that we overlook hold the most interesting stories and can lead to wonderful opportunites. Although I think in this case that opportunity may have been overlooked. What has this guy in a rush?
I don't think I have much else to add, I finally have reached the citidel in silksong apparently I went through the backdoor, well they sure kept it well guarded. I like to think that I am a fairly patient gamer. I've played my fair share of souls likes so I get the drill of repetition. But the Mist level truly tested that for me. Its not that anything was particularly difficult, it was just the repetitive nature and tedium of searching out for the glowbugs stopping and killing each wraith avoiding the bajillion spike traps...
Tumblr you know what to do
I mean I dig the level in concept it reminds me of the lost woods in ocarina how you have to follow the music to get to the middle, and I like any utilization of the needolin as a Side note I have been playing that thing everywhere! IT has so many fun interactions! I think it's just the execution and the punishing aspect of the platforming that got me. Also that the first time I got through it, I missed the bench and had to do it all over again... But then we squashed bug butt! Im excited to see what lays ahead in the citidel and the secrets it holds. This area's music I think is my favourite so far!
Well! Enjoy todays page and our first spoken line of dialogue! yippee!
Wow! Monday already! I do hope you had a wonderful weekend! Unfortunately not many updates to the page happened over the last few days, but we DO have a functioning guestbook now! It was super easy to implement and I feel quite silly for leaving it empty for so long. But now you may leave little messages if you wish! Yay!
Me putting on my customer service skin
I've spent most of this weekend between jobs, watching this little known anime called My hero Academia, pretty neat! It's funny how I always get into shows when they're getting into their final season. I think i might read the manga though! I think that anime is cool and can really make sense of action scenes (Im looking at you araki!) but usually they can leave out alot of context to the story! I have alot of different comics, manga, digital comics, and books im reading right now, adhd prohibits me from actually finishing anything aaah But I think when I get the about section looking nice I'll add in some of our favourite media! Games, books, movies, all that interesting stuff!
Zan watching season 6
Speaking of finishing things I have been steadily making my way through silksong absolutely marvelous game! Metroidvanias is such a fasinating genre, It reminds me of designing mega dungeons in dnd, creating various paths, backdoors, temporary barriers fleshing out the ecosystem and crafting bosses to segment them apart, all while tying it into a evergrowing homebase. I don't get much time to play ttrpgs now adays but I do love the act of dungeon crafting its a tremendous process! Maybe I'll share some of those designs here one day!
Well! Thanks for reading all the way to the bottom and enjoy todays page! In which we introduce the most IMPORTANT character of all! The Marketable Plushy >:D (jk we love you Gorse) Farewell! Have a great week!
Bye!!!
Hello dear reader thanks for stopping by! We added some cute little Cats for your viewing pleasure! This week has been fairly busy with attentions divided, unfortunately I have not been able to fix the homepage as of yet for mobile users, the task has left me slightly perplexed as I led myself to believe I was getting the hang of these grids but unfortunately when applying the logic over there it did not "logic"
huffing the codepium
I wouldn't expect much of an update on Monday either as I have quite a busy weekend with wage work so we can continue our exsistence, but we will have comic pages and maybe some little art works for our cast! I'll try to keep the logs updated on any changes we make and plans for our future here.
OH Also unfortunately we will be having to crunch the quality of our pages as we have limited upload space here! COmparing the two, we don't see to much of a difference, but! We have plans to make those freely available in the future so if you are interested in seeing all those little pixels, we got you covered! Zan has alot of fun with those little pixels so it'll defintly be worth checking out!
how it feels to be compressed
Anyways! Enjoy your lovely weekend, and the new page! It was alot of fun to work on, much of the story has changed quite significantly from it's initial idea but I have always held onto the opening scene and it was really cathartic to see it truly come to life. farewell for now!
zan - Huzzah!
Hey! Welcome to the Comic! Its a bit bare bones at the moment around here as I slowly bash my face into the html trying to work out this code. despite what they may have you believe, being a linux user (boo windows) does not equal being a code wizard. fortunately there has been a wealth of information I have found surfing around Neocities. Shout out Petrapixels and Rarebit for the amazing resources (I'll link the buttons when I figure that part out!)
How it Feels to crash course code
in a week
Somehow despite everything we've made it to the release date, and Pisfits Publishing has been born officially! We're really excited to start this journey it's something I personally have been working on since 2020 , but in reality it goes back much further then that and to be here despite this website being in current shambles it fills me with alot of emotion.
Anyways! Keep an eye out for updates as this site is a huge work in progress and we have so many plans. Hopefully we'll have our socials up later this week? Month? (Im sooo good at prioritizing) as well as an change log for the site and planned updates.
ah yes... Priorities
Alright! I'll leave it at that please enjoy the story, join in the discussion on discord and give @zandr.stardog on instagram for more wonderful art. Pisfits, Signing off!
